My buddy at work has a 1974 Tahiti mini day cruiser with a 455 olds and a berkley jet. He is looking to re-power the boat and wants to go with a 454. Nothing real crazy, maybe 400+ HP. Any ideas?

Dooley 10qt jet boat pan, ARP head, main, and rocker studs, Weiand Pro Ram, ported and matched, sideways mounted 800 Holleys. This is a professionally built motor with less than break in time on it. 650-670 hp. (more details avail.)

Crate 454HO motor from GM. You can't build a BRAND NEW big block for that amount. Plenty strong to start with.
