How do you get there from PHX I need a road trip!!!!!!
10 west about 100miles (from East side), take Vicksburg rd(72) North to the 95 go through parker and havasu 40 West to Needles. Plenty of signs on the way. Shouldn't be much more than 3 hours

Just got back! FUN
You can watch the boats from the
marina park, on the beach or the
grassy knoll. You do have to pay to
get in, but it's pretty cheap for a
day pass.

To tell you the truth I've only been on the CA side a couple times but there is a real nice beach and grassy hill area (needles marina beach park I think) you can see if you were to cross the needles bridge over to AZ. If I were you I'd just go to the big needles camp ground/park and work from there...just follow the sound of HP :220v:
