We just had a 3 1/2 ton unit installed on the house, new compressor, FA unit, new ducting in the attic and new grills on the whole house, $5500 total. My neighbors brother in law's company did the work. Very professional and fast.

My neighbor used to do installs etc. for a living, he has a cushy Govt. job nowadays, but still has plenty of connections. I had my compressor replaced last year for less than $700.00.

Sounds good to me. I need a new a/c. right now mine turns on at about 9 am and runs non-stop until 9pm. I have had it checked and they said it was just too small for the house. I would like to just add a second unit, one for upstairs and a seperate one for downstairs.
Greg can do it all. Depending on the house size it is sometimes more efficient to have two units. Only cool the area of the house you spend most of your time in. He can also upsize what you have. I searched around for a while and Greg was the best price and did the whole system in two days. The best part was I didn't even have to climb up in the attic once.... :smile: I hate that damn attic... :crossx: Sorry off subject again....
