He has confirmed that the rpm increases beyond 3000rpm but the boat gains no more speed above what it is at 3000rpm
Yes rpm does go beyond 3000 but all forward progress ceases
it only revs to 3000rpms

oooh, broken cable... reverse bucket.
Just remove the bucket entirely and see if it corrects the problem.
Or better yet, fix the cable and see if that corrects the problem.
The later description of the symptom would seem to point to a pump problem of some kind.
Always start with the easy stuff.
I love reading your guys posts here in the jet section, Its comical how some many different people can have so many different ideas what is.
IT IS NOT IN THE ENGINE and the guy started off by telling you that. If your impeller Shaft went thru the bottom of your boat and the impeller was below your boat you would not suck up rocks, or t-shirts ! ! ! Good luck , i hope you get the pump fixed in a timely manner .
Just an update guys, Finally got around to pulling the bowel and tahdah....look what I found :squiggle: I funny how big this rock was and still I was unable to find it through the grate, inspection plate and the rear of the nozzle.
Thanks for all of your help and information.

I was kind of wondering what happened to you. Pretty amazing what something like that can do to your boats performance. Did you get your reverse cable issue fixed?

Yes I did and NO it wasnt a 30 min. job. Had to take all of interior out of the boat and run down to Rex's. Also FYI for anyone that has a boat like mine, its a 18ft cable.

Yea, having to move the whole interior makes it a much bigger project than It would be on a typical spartan 18 footer. Just think how much you learned, tho.
