Thread: Anyone using these headers

Ok, I had to put through hull exhaust on my piclefork for use on my local lake, so I used some logs I had setting around. Now I want to do a bunch of engine up grades, but with out a good exhaust system I wont get full potental from the bigger motor. I want jacketed exhaust so no one will get burned and stainless tube headers for the looks.
Is anyone running the pictured low mount headers that Lighting makes ? Or any good ideas/suggestions/pictures of through hull headers that will fit a small boat like mine with the motor/pump set back without a lot of clearance between the motor and transom.

Pic works for me. Click on the "back" button and then click the forward to return. That brings the pics up for me sometimes.

Maybe this will work. If your boat is in the photo gallery, you can always link to the URL of any photo by right clicking, selecting properties, and then grabbing the URL to use on the boards.
    Hope that helps. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Edit: Crap, I just re-read your post and realized you weren't trying to post a picture of your boat, but the other headers. My bad.

They are very good manifold. The downside is they have a short life. I ran a set on a boat for a few years. I was told I need to keep an eye on them after about 3 yrs to make sure they are not leaking internally. I step up to a set of Gils off shores I will admit they are more pricey but to work very well

No doubt, that thing is beautiful. Great looking ride! What kind of hp and performance is it running?
BTW, Lightning is making full s/s headers now which should solve any longevity problems they may have had with the mild steel outer pipes corroding. More expensive, but still not as much as some others. They look great too all polished up.
