Because you can... Alot of East Coast boats over 28" have twins.
I thought about putting twin screws in my ski boat.
Wait, I did have twin screws once. Sure was fun.
Because you can... Alot of East Coast boats over 28" have twins.
This was brought up on another thread so I thought I would start one.
My reason is pretty simple. I think I will have less problems with 2 drives in the water. I will have 2 turn key engines that won't have to work as hard as a single one. I won't have to worry about blowing out drives with a single 850HP motor. My cruising rpm's will be less than a single motor. I can run 87 octane. Would you rather have a 4x4 or a 2x4? I can turn on a dime. It looks cool. My new boat was built for twins.
I dont think that thing turns on a dime.......

I know what he meant. One of the benefits to twins that is obvious is docking. One forward, one reverse. The boat will just spin in a circle, "on a dime" if you will. I don't think he meant at speed.

How about a quarter?
How about a quarter?
Maybe a Silver Dollar.....
all I can say is:
Twins are GREAT
What he said..........
Do the Maintenance yourself.......You'll be sweatin like a HO on dollar day when you're squeazin around motors doing maintenance but it's worth it when you mash the sticks with twins......
Maybe a Silver Dollar.....
Only with Whackas...........
Matt, if you go with the twin OB's get the one's without the pull cords.....
