    Guages are bottom of the barrel
    Shifter Throttle is acceptable
    Pull up or pop up?

    oh, in case anybody wanted to compare "hardware"
    Screws not withstanding...
    My boat has Dana HP1000 tabs w/indicators
    Beede gauges (trim, temp, oil psi, fuel, volt, RPM, MPH)
    Gaffrig stainless offshore shift/throttle
    pull-up cleats etc etc
    wiring in the engine compartment is wrapped in conduit and zip-tied about every 3"
    I have seen your boat and it is nice. When I bought my Cheetah I had to upgrade EVERYTHING. Someone in this thread was talking about "heresay". I have owned a Cheetah and would not buy another one. Thats just my opinion. It's not about money. It's about quality. I don't have an unlimited budget to buy a DCB, I have a partner in my boat and that was the only way I could afford it. My last boat was a Essex and I was very happy with the boat but I had alot of complaints about service and "customer service" especially! (sorry if I'm getting a little off the thread).

    I'm thinking about a 24 Fast Cat...Is there a big performance difference between the 496 and the 496 HO? Is it worth the extra couple thou?

    a few MPH... Jayd_Jr has the non-HO version in his and it still runs well...
    Mid 60's I think he said??
    If you plan on an upgrade like the Raylar or something like that then its prob not worth the money to get the HO

    No its not worth it..... I have ran 68 but it runs 63 all day which to me is fast enough for now. You need to think about insurance and repairs as well.

    Can you post some photo's of your boats interior? Seems to be a nice looking boat from the ouside, I'm wondering what it looks like on the inside.

    We love our Cheetah...someone said it is the bottom of the barrel....I beg to differ! You would love it too!
    As for dealings with Cheetah, we have had ups and downs! Bob Knows his stuff, but just doesn't like to deal with the additionals.....I just take it to his sons shop Stealth!
