Thread: engine hatch actuators

    doesitfloat?
    A few questions:
What's the typical life expectancy of these actuators? My actuator just went out on my 98 elim. It's actually stuck in the fully extended position (insert joke here ).
    Can they be fixed?
Anyone know of anything cheaper than the $277 Rex is charging?
    All help appreciated.

Take it off the lid & try to un-screw it, with the switch on. As they get old theres not enough power to break it lose. Might last a while longer.

I believe if it stays in the position for more than 4 hours you supposed to get immediate medical attention.
