I like the Magic, I like the Conquest, the Lavey, all of 'em really... Not real fond of the HTM though...

These pop up used sometimes. They are very affordable and appear to be a nice boat. I considered them when looking at new. You just may be able to get one of these for your price range. We stopped by one day for their tour. It doesn't cost anything to take a look before settling.

I was looking at the 252 and with all the options.
From what I've seen the 252 is even cheaper. At least on the East Coast. That is the non windshield model the made first. The 243 and 263 are full windshield models and do cost more.

I am very happy with my 28' Domn8er Deck. I took two years to make my mind up, and I looked at everything. I found the Domn8er the best bang for the buck with great service and follow up. They are coming out with a 25' Deck that is the same width as the 28', and it should be a great boat.
