I think the big difference will be price. To get about 700-800 horsepower, you need a 3.3 L Whipple? Above that you need a Quad Rotor. The smaller 2.3 L Whipple starts at about 5 grand, they didn't say where the 3.3 starts. An 8-71 from the Blower Shop starts at about $3500. (prices from each companies web site)

My Whippled 565 made 996HP and 940ft lbs of torque at 9 lbs of boost...
The Dart CNC heads & IMCO Powerflow Plus helped to get there....
I pullied it down to about 850 HP or so at 6 lbs of boost....

i like the whipple 3.3. nice and efficient.sounds cool, too. 800hp 502cu.in. 10lbs boost.
Whipple Intercooled 3300's.
I run a 14-71 delta/front discharge and a Superchiller on the 572, and I like the way it looks and runs. I also have an 8-71 on the 548 w/ no cooler (other boat), doesn't look nearly as cool. Buy what YOU want, you will be looking at it more than any of us. TIMINATOR
I like roots type blowers.Getting them rebuilt is easy.Dont know about power differences between them.Just my thoughts.
I suppose it all depends on if you want it now or in 6 months. Call Dustin and see what he can do for you.
Teague has a ton of whipples in stock from what I heard.
