I think the answer to your question is yes
it would be best to call whipple and talk to Dustin
I dont have the number but some one will post it for you
I am interested in adding a bit more power to my carb 502/415's that are in a heavy deep V. I use my boat in Lake Tahoe and was wondering if I can bolt on a couple whipple chargers on a budget to gain a modest min of 100 hp each side without changing out the original mercruiser exhaust silent choice? If so, is there a kit I can use and what other modifications I would need to perform besides maybe a prop change.
Thank you

Hmmmmmm......I ran it for 80-something hours without blowing it up.......
