engine painting w/BC/CC

I want to paint my engine with the same Base coat/ Clear coat that I painted BC/CC on their engine? Will this work? Will It last? Thanks

works well except by the exhaust ports, will outlast rattle can stuff and look tons better.

When I had the paint shop do my 56 chevy ... they painted the block and heads the same color ... a tanned cream color w/ lots of hardener and clear ... lasted for the 5 years I drove it around & I just called my cousin and asked him how it looks and he said great (he bought it from me in 1997, so that's 12 years and 10 Super Chevy show wins later)
I would say knock yourself out! Paint away! I, like Budlight, use Rustolium now ... much cheaper and last just as long.

Thanks, people. I'm going to do it today. Hopefully I will post some pics of my complete restoration from start to finish in a couple of weeks.
