Im a newbie to this forum but was just wondering if anyone brings out the (under 20') jets on the river this weekend. Seems like in the past, I have seen boats that are way to big, owning the river on Memorial Day. Im thinking it wouldnt be a very good time to take out the 18 footer. Any of you gonna do it?

I just picked up 78' Hondo with a 454 that I bought off a friend. Its my first boat and Im constantly looking for tips or pointers not to make the same mistake as others. Im not totally green to boating, My family had boats from when I was 7 to 16 years old. (27 now) I learned the basics (I think) But I do have some questions.
I know that boats run way smoother with trim tabs. What inexpensive tabs can you recomend? Also, my interior is old and a dark brown. Anyone in the Orange County area redo boat interiors for cheap? Thanks for whatever you can toss my way.
