Thread: Crapping Out Part 2

    OK so I put the newly rebuilt carb on last night, ran great, nice and smooth no problems just couldn't get the idle down where it should be. So we checked the timing and it was way off, adjusted it and it started cutting out almost like missing but like someone was turning the key off and the switching it back on real quick. After playing for ten minutes, figured it out, the distributor has about three quarters of an inch play in it. It would raise up at higher rpm's and cut everything out! Put an new one in and we are going to try to tune it again tonight, tryin to make to the lake tonight for the weekend. Any surprises?
