I just had the skeg replaced on my lower unit and I bolted it all back together. Now I am putting oil in the outdrive and I was told to fill from the bottom (using a special pump) until it comes out of the hole on the top of the outdrive. Then they told me to fill the resevoir. Is this right? Seems like there would be an air bubble in there.

merc has made it ass hard ass posable
the way to do it is like you were told but you need to put the plug back in the top hole after the oil stars to come out then pump it up to the reservoir then top it off
be sure to have the cap off the reservoir
you can get the pump at wall mart
