89 Tahiti

A friend told me Tahiti's are famous for hook in the hull. I think this could be true for older boats, but ones made as late as '89? The boat I'm talking about has 2 full stringers. What do you guys think? Thanks

I had an 85 Caribbean(from the same factory as Tahiti) and it had at least 3/8" of hook in it.
