Placecraft 20. Boat is looking good man. Thanks for the info. My take on it is that you gained 2 mph because of the beer you drank out of the cooler in the meantime playing with all of this. Lightened up the load a bit. 32oz in, 32 oz out into river. Either way, you had fun and got to drink beer. Keep on truckin brother.

I have been busy but I will try to answer a few questions and add a few of my own. I dont know if the diverter was dragging in the water but I will strait edge it tonight. I would also like to see a drawing of the steering bracket like nelson109 is talking about. The ball and socket sure looks big to be able to install in the doghouse setup like mine. I can get to the back of the steering tube if needed though. The steering extension does not add any slack when it is bolted on but I can see it may add some to the cable because of the extra length. I started to bolt all of these things on flat just to see what happens but I just did not have the time at the lake. I think no mater what setup you have you still have to play with it anyway to get it to run out the best so, I took Duanes advise and learning and used it to my advantage. Hell I would rather drink beer at the lake than work on the damn boat anyway. I try to do my wrenching at home.
Thanks again guys for all the great complements and the words of wisdom. I am going to try to get time this weekend to work on the steering but we are building a new house and I have to play electrician.
