Personally, I have stayed away from 5 MP cameras. The Sony sensor they all seem to be built on has noticeably more noise than the better 4 MP sensors.

Call me old school but I still like the 35mm Canon EOS I have. I bought a digital and dropped it once off a coffee table. Never worked the same. I was too lazy to send it in for warranty. The 35mm just keeps going and going.
Piper , I hope you have an early model like the 650/620/630 ,which had metal bodies. The Rebel was the cheapest body of them all. BTW the Canon FTB series could be used occasionally as a hammer if needed one in an
emergency :rollside: .
Oh really?
Only in Canada, eh? Pitty!
I don't know how I lived without my Sony Dvd Handycam that takes pictures and movies right onto the DVD!! It's so convenient! And as I don't like carrying a bunch of crap when I'm traveling or on vacation - I just use it for both instead of carrying a camera along also.
