We found out I broke the cam. This is what I found when I took off the intake.

I gotta agree with Malcolm. Only time I ever had a cam break, it was struck by a rod bearing cap trying to find a way outside. Cam's are HARD....... so hard they are more than just a little bit brittle, but they won't normally just snap themeslves.
I still have to pull the motor and take it appart. Then throw it in the trash!

I third that, you will probably find 1-2 rod went skyward finding your cam in the way.

broke 2 cams once, machine shop forgot the rear cam bearing,but had the rear cam plug in. I always double check everything since. sorry to see your problems

Way back then I was 21 and knew everything :idea:
No #5 bearing ..... Yep, THAT'd break one in short order. Dammmmm. I'd be serriously pissed too, Especially 2 in a row.
