Thread: Recommendations for 28'+ V bottom, budget $85,000?

    Big Warlock
I know you said "new" but I would consider used. There are many good buys on the market. And lots of newer models that you can get with low hours etc etc.
But I would be looking at Dana, Lavey, Shockwave, and, of coourse, Warlock. The 27 Warlock actually has more room than the 29. Great bottom and, with the balsa core, runs 74 with stock motor, 2 people and 3/4 fuel.
    Good luck!!

Thanks guys for the responses so far, Laveycraft & Shockwave is definitely on my list. Dana looks like it may be a little smaller than I'd hope, it's 27' and 92" beam. I believe there are larger offerings out there that may suite my needs better.
I'd appreciate hearing as much input from others as well.
    PM me with a number...Mark

You never see any used 27' Danas. They are great in rough water.

If you don't mind driving to Arizona, check out Kachina.
We love ours and there are a few owners here on the boards.
Their customer service is awesome and they have a new drone that is killer!
Here is a link to their website.

    Good Luck!
Oh, Kachina is kinda "known" for their graphics, so if you buy a boat from them they will NOT splash your design.....

Check out Superboats Y2k. It's closer to 32', but is a light (4700lb) single engine rig. Probably fastest single engine +27'er out there..
    Ask Fasterdammit about his...

There are lots of good boats out there in this size and price range.. When I was shopping for a 27-30' boat a few years ago I ended up with a 29 Shockwave and was happy with it.. It is a big 29 and handles the ocean fairly well..

Wow this sounds like my questions a year ago, Same price range and i wanted to go in the ocean once in awhile also, do you self a favor and get with some people that use there boats in the ocean, just becuase a boat can go doesn't mean it will hold up to the abuse. it's a lot different. you really cut out a lot of boats once you said ocean and you have to be careful with engines also. i ended up get a used one instead of new and paying more than i planned.
