How much cash for the 540? Whats up with the 454 what year block?

454 block is a Mk4 block '88, only reason it was pulled was I blew out a coupler last fall. The 540 I have a ton in it, would let it go for $8K, it was just install in my Velocity about 3 weeks ago.
