OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW! WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?-OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at presidential motorcades. The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens.
NOTE: Above facts are verifiable on the Department of Defense website.
    Pass it on!

You're right. It's not "peachy". Been there. Lots of guys and gals have spent a LOT more time than I did over there though, and have my infinite respect and kudos. It IS about a million times more peachy than it was 4 years ago. The main improvement is that it now has the POTENTIAL to get to "peachy" instead of just another day of "sux to be us Iraqis". This country at one time started with only a few hundred people, and got "feistey" with a population of thousands. Our folks are working hard over there, and doing a darned good job in a very tough situation.
If I appeared to get on a soap-box, I apologise. Didn't mean to.
I love this country, even with all it's problems.
I'll back our guys in uniform to the end. Heck, I'm one of 'em, I better.
