502efi rev limiter!!!

Anyone know the factory setting for the rev limiter on a 1999 502 efi? 5100 rpm or something in that range? I'm taching around 5k and wanted to know if a bigger prop was in the future.

As per the merc lit, it says that if you are in the 4800 to 5200 rpm range you are good. If you are hitting 5100, stay with the prop you have. If you go bigger, you will definately hit the rev limit. I believe it comes in at 5250, and it feels like the engine is starving for gas. Freaks you out the first time it happens. Good luck with it.
