I wish we could too.. but we have to move all of her stuff from Sac that weekend..

For any of you that are not sure what to get for someone ... It would be hard to top this..
I'll start by saying the school, teachers, environment and equipment were top notch..
We pull up to Las Vegas speed way.. I don’t know if any of you have been there.. I hadn’t.. but I had seen it on TV.. its HUGE!.. when wee pulled through the tunnels to get in the private pit area my heart started to jump around.. it was exciting..
we pull up to the garage and see all the Nascars.. REAL RACE CARS!..
There whole thing was.. for all of us to act like kids, turn off our cell phones.. and have as much fun as possible..This was NO problem for me..lol

After the ground school it was right to business.. I was on the first team and was in the car before I knew it...

So.. The rule is.. Your supposed to stay 4 car lengths from your lead car.. (lead car driven by an instructor).. they have some hand signals and flags to help you find your spot.. they say that you NEED to get the hand signal from the driver in front for being to close.. They said and it turned out to be true.. that all drivers are way to far back.. So.. I told the guy .. you might as well drive with one hand.. Because I’m going to be up your ass..lol..
I got it once.. then I found my zone.. I was on him and didn’t let him out of my space..
They pace you and only let you drive Rookie fast..lol.. when you look at your time sheets you can see the speed and time increase as you go..
I got to do to two 8 lap sessions..

they also have a ride along program.. for $99 you can ride with a pro drive that takes you around the track at 160+.. They suggested that You do that first to that you know what the cars are capable of and can drive to your potential (trust the car).. I declined.. but Danielle and my other buddy did this first..
my second 8 lap session was perfect.. I drafted with in 3-4 lengths the whole 8 laps.. I never got the hand signal.. (means they were comfortable with me driving closer).. they sped me up a little..
Also.. my second instructor was a woman.. She took me faster than they were supposed to.. on average most people were running 47-49sec around the track and not allowed to run under 46.. she let me run 45.. which ended up being the fastest lap out of 30+ people..133mph
Now .. Danielle.. she got to do the ride along first..

I was so proud of her.. she did better then most men.. Her top speed was 128MPH..
she was able to run a draft and a line.. I was very impressed...

What a great experience.. We will do this again.. they have an 80 lap program that will drop your lap time to 40.. and it takes a day in ½.. ..
