I wound up drilling a hole in the base and put a brass 1/8 NPT X 1/4 Barb fitting in and securing it with a lamp nut peened over. I didn't want to braze or weld to that brand new base. Should be fine. And it does look good!
Are the hose adapters shown on your web site for the fume connection or just for crankcase venting? It looks like they might be OK if they pierce thru the element.

Man I love the way people are able to customize to fit their needs. You should see some of the stuff people come up with. Lots of crap but you get a few like you that take their time and make really nice pieces. As for the vent adapters, crankcase only, they are on the outside of the filter. Spilling fuel all over the media and down into the bilge could be a very bad thing!
