Dont do that.
I was going to check home depot. I am basically looking for some wood grain/vaneer style flooring. It is REALLY thin and it is going to go on top of the wood under the top coat of resin and should look really good.
Thanks.
Dont do that.
Dont do that.
Why not? I have seen a few that look bitchen.
I don't think I would do tha Don. a thin vaneer is great if you're looking at doing a piece of furniture but with all the moving and moisture a boat goes through it will come apart..sorry...v-drive

I agree, moisture & any kind of interior wood flooring don't match.
Don't goto the home centers. Goto a hardwood dealer like Higgins (http://www.higginshardwoods.com/)
A few of us have had great success with the venier. Sandwiched between chopped mat & woven cloth, using epoxy (penetrating) resin.
Its alot of work but the outcome is awsome.
Send me a pm if you need more information.
Relax guys it's only a Lavey!
If you want to take it down to the wood and laminate a veneer over it thats one thing. Then your stringers are gonna look like :yuk: . You have no idea how much work it is. If your gonna do it, do it right. Think about paint Or Gel coat and paint it like wood. I've seen a couple that you could not tell unless you knew and looked VERY close. I hate to see people put a lot of work in something and have it turn to crap. And I know your boat has a lot of history with your family.
