Thread: header mufflers

    Any or you fellas use mufflers that really work on rewarder headers. when I go with my buddies evrything is cool. with the wife not so cool.

    I ran the Basset ones with the louvers. Not the ones with the twisted blades. They work pretty good.

    i use the rex marine slip in mufflers they really do alot to quiet the motor down and i do not lose much rpm at wot.about 100rpm.paid around 100 bucks for them and am very happy with them now i can talk at idle with passengers.

    are you running your headers dry or wet.

    I'm runin them dry at idle wet once the rpms come up around 1800

    Or you could consider the latest technology in ear protection:

    I use 1/2 twister baffles + earplugs. These orange ones come in handy. Woman has no complaints.
