I am trying to shim my new impeller to get the proper clearances for the shouldered wear ring. I spoke with Duane Oblander today and he told me how to do it, but I have gone blank! Anybody got any info for me? Please help the idiot...

slide shim and imp. on (with out key) hold impeller up tight stick you hand through the hand hole with feeler gauge (between wear ring and impeller) the gap should be between 0.025"and 0.030" if not try other shim (only one shim should be used) once you get your right gap put key in and tight'n! hope this help's Ty
