Oroville has floating campsites
Floating campsites??? come on, tell us more????
Don Pedro @ Fleming Meadows campground. Great weather, water temp is perfect and relaxing. The lake doesn't get that crowded at all unless it is a holiday weekend.
There is boat in camping at Tahoe in Emerald Bay. There is a nice dock and bouys for overnite. RD
Flaming Ghetto's campsites are not "water-front" in my book.... infact, in mid
summer it's about equavilant to camping on the face of the sun....so is
Commanche Res........
Oroville's floating campsites are concrete floating "pads"....... they have:
Sink, counter tops, table, pump-out type bathroom...
there is an upper level which also serves are a shade cover for the lower
level. the whole perimeter is fenced so little ones won't fall over.....
but they're not cheap.. something like 800 bucks for 1 week..... sure, cheaper
than houseboating, but not cheaper hotel-ing it.

Lake Hogan has boat in sites on the Island (Deer Flat) Nice sites, especially right now as they are 15 feet from the water and nice area for swimming right in the cove. They have BBQ pits, tables and lantern poles with 2 bathrooms.
No Marina facilities on the lake as of yet. No reservations needed either for the boat in sites.

--Sherpaditto on fleming Ghetto's,but moccason point on opposite side of the lake is way nicer with trees and hills and the tuolleme river canyon is some of the most beutiful places to boat in CAL in my opinion and when the water level is high, which it is this year it is a must see lake to boat on
Don't forget the Delta. Sugar Barge in one of our favorites, but there are hundreds to choose from. Also, McClure, New Melones, Berryessa and Camanche.
Go to Camping World and buy a copy of the Califonia Lakes book. You can find it all over. It is a boaters bible. Good luck. Al
