That was just a far-out ride. Musta brought tears to your eyes.
I'm guessing by the whistling sound that you are turboed??? Very Cool!!
That thing runs hard Mark. Very nice.
I cant believe your able to lift that hard, if i lifted that hard in my 19, It would get ugly real quick. Im assuming your not running a whole lot of shoe in there? When I started dropping the shoe the shutdown got worse, but the boat got alot faster.
Anyways cool video, thanks.
Thanks for the comments,
The engine is turboed, you can see 20# boost on the gauge on the dash.
CS19, since I made that duct that goes over the pump intake last year I've got some real interesting positive characteristics.
It contains the water that would lift the back of the boat on shutdown.
My pump intake pressure that I checked the day of the video was 60# at 95 mph. I've since taken a .060 shim out of the shoe to decrease the intake pressure.
The bottom of the duct is 3/16" thick stainless and is located about 3" below and 7" in front of the biting edge of the shoe. It is sharpened to lead the water up and into the pump. I feel I'm able to use less shoe to get plenty of water into the pump.
The boat shutsdown real smooth and never gets squirrley.
Tracks real straight too. I feel I'm ready for some top speed runs now.
It's interesting that on the video I lifted the throttle at 96 mph and the boat went up to 102. It was still pulling hard when I let off. With no safety gear on I didn't want to push it any more.
KP216 I'll see you at Table Rock Lake next month.
