Am I crazy or does he have a 2" spacer under the back carb only. Had to do a double take as to why that scoop is tilted down so far in the front.

Place diverters do not bolt up to a Panther. The only way it can be done is if someone cut and welded. From what I understand, it's not a good thing.
BTW, Panthers can do 100 with the race mods and yes, there are race mods

simple answer to the scoop tilting forward. Instead of a place diverter you tilt the scoop forward.....Air enters at a lower center of gravity and picks up the bow. See aren't you glad I'm around to answer these highly techinical questions! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/tongue.gif

See, that's what he thinks he has on his boat!
I have to disagree with the airscoop theory though. He put it at an angle like that so when the boat is in the water and stern is sitting lower than the bow, the air flows straight into the scoop! Gives him better air flow out of the hole. Yeah, that's it!

This was the engine that was in my shciada when I bought it. It had logs with turbos and it didn't run 100. Oh, that's it, I'm missing one carb!

This boat did 100 through logs...of course a 580 twin turbo making 22lbs of boost would do that.
