    How do you cut them so there isn't a bunch of frayed steel everywhere when you're done.

    Wrap the end to be cut with black tape...I use a wizz wheel to do the cutting.

    I first tape the hose area with masking tape, then cut it with a hack saw.

    78 elim. pain in the but i have found all the above right on just add a hose clamp lots of w.d. 40 on the inside good luck.. also lots of bandaids ha ha..........

    Wanna know what's funny? I went to Earl's to get some hose and the guy there cut if for me and even put the fitting ends on. Talk about service!
