Very sad morning for me upon learning that Don Knotts had passed away at the age of 81. I think Barney Fife is one of the most memorable TV charcaters of all times and grew up laughing with him. He was also a West Virginia native.

It is too bad...an anonymous member on here calls me "Fife" cause I'm a cop...we always had fun with it. He sure was a legend...will be be missed.

I will always remember him as Luther Hages from "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken"
I have some autographed stills of him from that movie hanging in my home.
He was one of the greats!
