I have a 73 ls7 in my 78 eliminator sprint are the intake and exhaust push rods the same length. I know the motor has been rebuilt not sure of the cam. Just wondering thanks for any help.

Good push rod sizes should be 8.38" & 9.35" for an LS7

It is imperative that your pushrod length is correct. The heads can make a difference, as I recently found out. Contact a reputable machine shop for a pushrod length checker. It's a little blue plastic tool made by Manley if I'm not mistaken. Build it right, and you'll enjoy it for years.

I agree. You want the contact of the rocker to be centered over the valve thru the openning and closing of the valve. It took me about 1 hr with a push rod checkerand adjustable push rod. Then a still needed to try a couple of differant length rods until I got a contact patch I wanted. Check, Check and recheck.
