I am a ford guy owned too many to list, and nowhere can I find the timing for a 460 all my books say look on the sticker in the engine compartment(duh)!! can someone tell me where the engine compartment is in a flatbottom?, or the timing for the 460? Also is it possible to get to much water to the headers? (Bassett) If so how can I remedy the problem?

i run a bbf i set total timing at 38 deg as for the water prob yes you can get tomuch water especialy if your t valve gets dirt in there you should be dry at idle.

thanks for the help http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif it is dry at idle, but i was told that it had to much at running and it goes back into the cylinders to crap out on restart( after the fun run and shut down)

Tbolt, if you're not using a manual water valve you can use 'restrictor' jets from Rex(pg47), Eddie, or just call Paul Bassett.

    Restrictors are cheap insurance!!!
    Here's a trick!!
Thread the inside of your AN fitting and then just spin a brass pill in with 1/8 in. hole!!
that's what I run.......in addition to the Basset Tee, of course
