Coach, looking at that Karp with the Risse big foot just makes ya want to huck off the roof of your house doesn't it? lol
Bender did a 64' drop in the past. He was using a bike with 2 shocks for a long time. He was blowing the main shock up and the spring would launch him off of the bike, so they installed a second shock to dampen the rebound when the main shock blew up. Crazy stuff!!!.

BTW, I have the 7" travel version of this fork sitting around. It would be kick ass on a fiddy if anyone's up to try it out.
I might just make a chopper around it.

I was sooooo close to buying a Karp in 2001. Just before I did it I tore up both shoulders, road riding of all things, and couldn't ride for 6 months. Wifey got prego and that is all she wrote for the DH days. Now I just try to find time to get out on my XC bike.
good thing you didn't get it. you can't get parts for them any more. Good ol' Jan would fit right in along side some of the shady boat builders. lol
If you ever want to ride over in the Oaks let me know.

Let me get back in shape and I will take you up on it. I have not done the chutes to Oaks in a few years. Going to hit Chino Hills this week. I use to live right off of rim crest and would ride up there almost everyday. The wife and I use to race, actually I would show up and suffer and she would kick ass. She won both Summit and Rim Nordic sport classes in her second year racing. Since having kids it is hard to ride like we use to. Man do I miss it.
get in shape?? used to race?? You sound like Disco Charger.
C'Mon man! I'm freaking old, fat, my bike weighs in over 50 pounds and only has a few gears. I'd like to think you could whip me up the 3 B's. I come down like a steam roller though

You can't imagine how much I'd love to come down there and ride that trail.
Tom, that was my first time there. It's at Mt. Wilson. It took over 2 hours to get down. Was lots of fun.
This is way better.
