Towing a 24' Ultra with a 2004 Hemi Durango 4x4. Pulls very strong. Will pull 70+ from Phoenix to Flag at 7,200 feet. The bummer about the Hemi is the power is in the higher RPMs so it likes to rev. Averaged just shy of 11 MPG towing to Powell and back. Just got the same from here to Mead. Gets 15 MPG unloaded. Full time 4x4.

I tow a 20 ft Taylor just about every weekend. Truck is an 04 4x4 quad cab. No problems and plenty of power. 16mpg empty 11 towing in the hills of West Tn. I installed a B&m trans cooler just to be on the safe side.

I have the Hemi 4x4 Crew Cab with 315 BFG's and a 5.5" lift. Tows my 24' Essex no problem. I recently upgraded from 3.92 to 4.56 gears. Big difference. Better towing and better mpg around town. Hwy mpg stayed about the same. I get just under 14mpg with the cruise set at 75mph going to Laughlin. That's without the boat. The 34-gal tank makes for a nice "no fuel stop" trip.

I tow my 22 shockwave with my Dodge 1500 with a 10 inch lift and have no problems. Gas sucks but I get to write of my gas as a business expense so no worries..

I have a 05 Durango Limited 4x4 with the Hemi and pull a 27' Ultra Shadow. All kinds of power in the world. Using the "tow" mode I get about 9.5 mpg. When I tow without the "tow" mode I get 11.5-12 mpg depending on how much I get into the pedal passing vehicles on the interstate.
Around town without the boat I get 18-20 mpg. On the interstate I get 22-23 mpg. I traded in a dodge quad cab dually with the Cummins to get the shorter wheel base and more room for the little ones. The shorter wheelbase works great for the tight areas around the ramps out here. I do miss the diesel though
