Anyone go the back way thru Victorville/Apple Valley to Lucerne Valley to Yucca Valley/ 29 Palms? I dont know the road #'s but I have been going that route for the last 30+ years. There is never any traffic even on the big weekends.

Im new to the area.. should I just take the 210 or should I take the 138?
how do you guys get there?Take the 5 north to Bakersfield then hook a right....It's a beautilful drive...you'll find your way once your head'n out of Tehachapi.
