Thread: GT boats who are they and did they make a good boat

    went out today with a friend off the boards went to the delta to go play around I was always told my boat was a 1979 tahiti bubble deck but the title says 19foot GT boats nothing else other than its a jet there is a number in the back of the hull on the right side.     Chad To my knowlage Tahiti didn't have that pod on the transom.

    jim that was added for the set back so that it was a cleaner look than the pump just hangin out called a setback encloser kit it had a stock white berk plate on it before that.

    The number on the transom is the HIN(Hull Identification Number). What are the first three letters? They indicate the manufacturer.

    That is indeed a "GT Boats" hull. Although I dont think they build boats anymore, the shop is still in business. They are located in Cordelia, California which is right where Highway 680 and Interstate 80 meet. You can see the shop from Hwy 680. Might give them a call and see if you can get more info about your boat. The owner's name is Dave Bostrom. Nice guy.

    thanks i think i'm getting some where now i would just like to know the name and the history of my money pit it would make it easier to swallow

    hey old squirt dave sold the shop to joe shelfo. they will complete the sell in september from what i heard. joe runs the sucker punch hydro with a bbf in it.

    Chad, Those Gt hulls where supposed to be pretty good hulls. I thought they had the gas tank under the deck? We where just talking to Dave at Gt about his boats. There's one for sale at his shop. Did you get your motor running again?

    Hey Chad: I told you.. That your boat was not a Tahiti... Myself and the little women had a great time with you and your Wife. Your video was kick ass I watched it about 10 times on the big screen. All your hard work paid off with your boat. Hey who said Panthers can't keep up??????
