Thanks Edge. I bet he sees your post.
The only thing out of the ordinary I have seen is that there were 2 bypass valves installed in the block. I will block off the filter bypass when I put it back together.
The cooler bypass valve was installed and the cooler ports were blocked off. I have not spoken with the Rev yet but if he is running a cooler then this valve was open and was causing problems.

OK I gotta get on the road soo....
"Here Rev. You got a broke tooth on your flywheel. You sure you want to use this? Or is this a toothless joke for us Okies?
I thought you'd like that I just thought everything in OK has a tooth missing so I broke that one off to fit in
As for a new one, let me know what you have.
Now that you have it torn down, can you tell me a bit about what was in it? pistons, crank, rods, cam etc.... Also we'll need to talk about what would be the best intake for this set up. And I really want to have it polished.
I'm off work today so when you get a chance you can call me on my cell I'll PM you that so all my stalkers can't call me when they get drunk
Also, will we be able to get a DYNO number or some run time on it before it makes the long trip back out here??
I'll get some of my pics up in a bit.
And Racer277, can I borrower some money then??

Send me that number Rev. You have oval port heads. Maybe someone will speak up and recommend an oval port intake that is better than your Performer RPM.
    I'll post more pics tonite.

    OK here we go.
The engine arrives in the custom shipping crate. It blends in perfectly with the industrial blocks and cranks in the weld shop.

Since not much of the original engine will remain except the heads and block. The first step is to give the block the works. Parts are ordered and will take several days for them to arrive.
This is the way we clean them. Put the block in the oven. It actually shared the oven with a few more blocks and cranks.

This is what it looks like when it is done. All of the paint and grime falls off in a powder. Much easier to deal with than environmentally unfriendly chemicals.

The block goes for a ride in the shot abrader. This will make it look brand new when the dust is blown off.

I did not get a pic of it before we doushed it down in the magnaflux machine. This is how it looks after crack checks.

Hey info, are you blasting it with shot or just rolling it in it?

The shot is slung around by paddles. Take a look at the bottom of the pic. There are 2 wheels with 4 paddles each.

We use kinda the same thing to clean castings, only we have 8, 100 hp motors throwing the shot out.
