I've got a 98 Scarab SCS 23 footer, looking to change out the steering assembly (cosmetic part)...the last owner already did this once, so right now, here is what the assembly consists of:
1) 5/8" long bezel (about 4" wide)
2) 4" long adapter (tapers from 4" wide to 3 1/2" at the steering wheel)
What type of steering system is this and why do all the bezels I find are a few inches long (mine is only 5/8" thick).....
How about a picture. It sounds like you still have an adapter on there.
