Ok now, we have a full roller 468 with a solid roller cam, dyers 671, and canfield aluminum heads. We are about ready to put the distributor in but i wanted to check and see how to set it up. What color springs and whatever else should make the advance come at the correct time.
Im clueless at this point and dont just want to drop it in.
    Any help will be appreciated

I put one of the lightest springs and one of the next lightest spring. Cannot remember the colors.
I put the bushing that gives the MOST inital timing.
That way the engine has as much timing as it can initally and the remainder comes in right away. I typically run 34 degrees total timing on pump gas blown deals.
And you can change them once installed. LOL

Light silver and blue spring with the black bushing. Great baseline.

Or lock it out and throw on a start retard we use this set up on a 565 w/ 15-1 and and no starter problems.Bob

A start/retard helped my (8.5 to 1) blower motors turn over when they are hot (they used to drag).
    30 degrees locked out.
