The porpoising is probably from too much prop pitch and/or engine height for the RPM you're turning. It can't hold the boat up. Try something a couple of inches lower pitch.
has anyone ever seen a cavatation plate attached to bottom of a jack plate? saw it in overtons. my new boat porpises a little jacked up for low water , wondering if it works. thanks

i have high five now 21p this boat maybe not meant to have jack? barefoot sanger 225 efi merc thinking of lowering motor 1 hole down also ideas?
The High-5 isn't a surfacing prop. Of course, if you throw a blade, you'll still have plenty left.
Hang tight. Some people who know your boat and engine combination should be around soon and help you out.
By the way, how high are you? A picture or two wouldn't hurt.
right now the motor is in the middle on plate ,plate to boat also in middle i keep the boat in blythe so no pics now. only want to use jack plate for shallow water afternoons. thinking that extra cavatation plate would help for low speeds ,hole shots ?
