Hardcore,
What is your boat idling at? They say it should be no less than 750 rpm with a velvet drive. Post your question here for more responses.

I have a 1995 malibu response mercruiser package,It has the 1:1 velvet drive
trany, the thing has a nasty rattle at an idle only,I'm told these tranys are bullet proof, has
any buddy else had this,is it the trany or is it
possible theres something else causing the noise?

Thats a good question,right now I can't check
the idle,I'm installing a shower but as soon
as I get the thing hooked up I'll fire it up
and check the idle.I do know when I put it in
gear and idle up a little it goes away.
I'll post my question again after I check it out.
THANKS,LUMPY
Way to go lumpy, great pick marinegears.com had all
the answers, the noise is normal it's the dampner
on the flywheel, and my idle was to low.
Thanks again.
