Well the simple answer to your question is...Street driven truck should stay with the vacuum secondary. A 750 is a great choice, and would help you out in the power catagory.
I offer many carburetors for the street driven vessel and could tune a 750 VS with 4150 metering blocks to bump up that power you so desire.
