As funny as the story is, it still amazes me how parents are now willing to back their child no matter what they do wrong. Rather than taking a good opportunity to teach them about respect and what and when things are appropriate they encourage the behavior. I have seen this too often over the last few years and wish parents would understand that "failing" or "adversity" is part of growing up, and without it people don't grow.
