It sucks even more for all the kids who bought his jersey and looked up to him. I think we need to investigate Phizer and see if they laced his Viagra with steroids!!
...busted and suspended for steroid use. He still claims he was unaware and doesn't understand how he could have tested positive...Hmm, thats gotta suck.

I guess that explains why I've been "bulking up"
I played professionally for 3 years for Kansas City and I must say I laugh when I hear these guys denying use. I for one did not ever take steroids, but if I wanted I could have got it as easy as a can of chew or a bag of sunflower seeds. The sad part about it is the scarred reputations of these players. It is one thing to knowingly take them, but then to knowingly lie takes it to a whole new level.

The saddest part of all is that he's not man enough to admit what he did. Saying he never "knowingly" ingested steroids is parsing words, at best. It's his responsibility to know everything he's putting on or in his body when playing at that level. Hell, the 23 yr old kid who got fired from our store today for a dirty piss test showed more balls that this "superstar" Palmeiro. At least the kid admitted he did it.

I knew I would get that one for sure, but truthfully I did not!! I won't say I did not think about it, but I never went through with it. What is sad is in the minors you see guys come back from the offseason alot bigger, stronger and faster and it gives you that false sense of "Needing steroids to make it to the next level!"
I have a feeling that steroids, or other performance enhancing drugs, have been around baseball for a very, very long time.
I would have to agree 100%.
You'd think a guy that testified before a congressional hearing on steroids would be a little more careful about what he ingested.
I'm sure that will come back to bite him in the ass...
Guys take steroids for many reasons, but #1 ..............recovery time!!
