The #6464 is a 1050 cfm carb and were made for use on I/R manifolds. There would be better choices in carbs before the 6464 as these have long been discontinued. Your specific application would be of help before anyone can recommend a good set-up.
I don't know enough about big carbs. What is the difference between a 6464 Dominator and say a 1050.

BBC 10:1, solid roller, lrg. oval port heads.
My next option was maybe a single 850, or a pair of 660's on a tunnel ram. The dominator was available to me, but its condition is not known yet.
Fired up, I have a certain motor mount cut and ready to be installed.
JBG,
Thanks. Integrity does count! That tunnel ram we spoke of is for square port heads. I inquired. Can you put a square port manifold on oval port heads? Naive question, I know.
That ride along paperwork is going through channels for Thursday. Will confirm.
Fired Up, It can be done but it is not adviseable. I will look up here at Mikes Marine today to see if he has an oval port tunnel ram or manifold laying around. The motor plate is much lighter and cleaner. Give me a call when you get a chance. The ride along sounds good for Thursday.
Thanks
JBG
I need that info ASAP if Thursday is a go. Otherwise we may need to pick another date.
