CraneHI-6 or MSD 6AL???

I use a crane on my blower motor..on alky no less ..NEVER have had any problem. I even gapped the plugs .050 on alky,32 over,on a stage 3 bds 8-71. No misfire at 8200 rpm's. Every one said it would blow out the spark..get a mag...well I'm here to tell ya it hauled ass.

Actually I've been hearing more good feedback from HI-6 users.

Personally I would go with the Crane ignition,even though i have the full MSD setup.The inside of the MSD distributor corrodes up over the winter as has been previously discussed.The crane uses the mercruiser distributor which is a decent piece.Also,I had to buy different plug wires since the MSD marine cap is backwards(socket instead of tower) from the merc. And it's easier to change ignition curve etc.
