You can't go wrong with two bottles of wine, one white one red...could go with whatever they are serving.
If you know their preference, bring liquer or beer that they prefer is a good choice also.
Have fun drinking and eating and make sure you leave the bottles behind - full or empty!
The last dinner guest we had (his last day in Wichita before moving to North Carolina) brought a pack of Bud bottles and a 1/2 full 5 gallon gas can - both he didn't want to haul back east. I thought I made out pretty well! So the key is knowing what your hosts would like.
